I want a minifee so bad but there’s none that appeal to me enough to buy one >:( wah
I kinda have this same problem. I would really like one minifee to captivate me enough to buy one, but they all fall just a bit short for me. The New Family is _really_ close though!

This sums up my sentiment of the matter perfectly!

I thought the whole point of PT threads were to show that the BJD community on DoA is _against_ people being fraudulent… People are called out on their shit and results are expected. BJD community doesn’t accept people robbing each other. Where as that particular text by EAC was about how the recast community doesn’t enforce that their members should never sell their fakes as the real thing, but instead seems to accept this behaviour from their visible members. Hence, the wrongdoind of one becomes the accepted behaviour model of that community. But please, is the recast community is in fact being vocal about stopping this kind of ripping off (selling a recast but not stating that it is one, but instead clearly naming it as an original), point me to it. Because I’m not seeing it.
Pro-recast people don’t get to say ‘not all of us are like x’ and ‘the recast community hates fakes being sold as legit’ when it is happening right in front of your noses and a tumbleweed rolls past…! No one from the pro or neutral recast side has popped up to say this is not on, from what I can see.
When no pros come forward to publicly criticise one of their own for doing something that the entire recast community apparently frowns on, of course antis will see that pro-recast people don’t care about fakes bring sold as legit after all. Of course it will mean nothing whenever a pro-recast person says they don’t support fakes being sold as legit. Where are you, you fabled, mythical pros with principles? If this is really something you hate, if this is the barrier that seperates you from the ‘bad guys’, you should be up in arms that your image is being so badly tarnished.
What was that? Oh dear, just more crickets.
Alright, there has now been more than crickets. I am genuinely pleased to see that some morals are still being held. My main concern with recasts had always been about buying one without knowing it, when sellers don’t label them correctly. This is my main concern since it affects me personally nand directly. Close second is the fear of losing wonderful artists when their livelyhood is taken by fakes. So I’ll just wait until this problem is likewise solved.
